Hope you are all enjoying your holidays, but almost time to get back into uni.
In keeping with our initial timeline in our slideshow I will have project formalities sorted for the start of next week (week 10). I will set up Archicad Teamwork Server in which Ryan can upload his model to create teamwork project so we will all have access and be able to familiarize ourselves with the project.
Along with the server I am in the process of putting together a project specific program in MS Project.
Considering our group formation contains different design roles that will be reliant on individual milestones being completed before others can start, an effective form of collaboration is essential.
Along with the blog this program will give us all an overall timeline for completion dates to aim for, milestones so we can track progress, and document project from concept to completion.
So get blogging, and have a read of the “Teamwork Essentials Guide ‘ located in Course Information if you haven’t already.
There is also an example of a group blog from last year that is available in the Assignment 2 folder on blackboard. A very useful resource, especially their reflection comments as they provide a few hints in terms of issues they encountered. Their group consisted of a Project Architect, interior architect, exterior architect, structural architect and presentation architect. Let me all know what you think?
I can safety say that i did not have a proactive holiday for uni work, So i think we get straight back into form when we start back up. We can all start by please updating your profiles on the blog (include picture and bio's ((if we can)))
once we get the server started up i will upload the models. They will need alot of work so please Steve and Kate and if not everyone lend a hand by making them ready.
Meeting on Monday i will send everyone a text message on the day, it will be some time between classes and i will try and fit it around you too hayley.
